Who We Are
North Idaho Ice (NIICE) Corp. Is a non-profit organization established September of 2021 (EIN# 87-2902087). We feel that additional opportunities for winter recreation are needed in Bonner County. As such, NIICE was formed with the intent of facilitating the construction of a winter sports venue specific to ice sports. Our approach focuses on a permanent structure that is staged based on usage, demand.
NIICE operates on volunteer efforts and generous donations from the community. We have been working closely with the City of Ponderay and the Field of Dreams initiative to provide a community rink that is available for public skating, figure skating, hockey programs, broomball, and private rentals.

North Idaho is a wonderful place surrounded by mountains, outdoor activity, and opportunity for recreation. Enjoying the winter is a way of life in North Idaho. Our intent is to add to these opportunities as well as compliment them with safe, reliable, and consistent ice. Diversity, opportunity, and attainability of recreation, especially in the winter months, is our hope! Through management, planning we intend to fulfill this through the attainment of an ice arena!
